I have had this clutch problem for a little while and it has become progressively worse. I replaced my slave cylinder with the updated one(which I think it was already the updated one) I even purchased the updated push rod(which was aready the upgraded one). I pulled the clutch apart and inspected it. There is plenty of oil in there. The EBC clutch only has about 1000 miles on it. I also cleaned the oil jet which was clean by the way, after 31k miles. I put fresh 5w fork oil in the clutch after flushing it and still got problems. Maybe this video will shed some light?

correct. In the video I am pulling in the clutch and releasing it a few times.

It's normal behavior for multi-plate clutches...pulling the lever in unloads the clutch plates, so the rattle changes.

Are there any real problems/symptoms to contend with?.

Yes I can't put it into gear. When I push down on the gear shifter with the clutch full engaged it jumps forward and dies as if the clutch was not engaged at all. I have a feeling mobile 1 is a bad choice..

How did you bleed the clutch master/slave?

Don't want to turn this into an oil thread, but I run mobil-1 silver cap (auto) in all my ktms. Never had an issue.

I'd tend to assume issue is elsewhere.

Same, no probs with Mobil 1 auto oil int he KTM.

5w fork oil in the clutch line or in the plates?

I took it to mean 5w in the clutch line, in place of mineral oil

Wouldn't that be the issue? Cause clutch sounds fine, From his description it sounds like clutch isn't engaging (lurching when he puts it in gear and stalling). 5w fork oil to thick?

Ball bearing in the slave missing?

I think Magura mineral oil is nominally a 7 weight. If he's using 5 weight as the hydraulic fluid it'll be fine.

Fork oil is not in the motor it is in replacement of the mineral oil which is a known failure. I bleed the hell out of the clutch. Clutch feels good. As soon as I pull in the clutch it starts clacking and does not engage?

Did you bleed from the bottom up?

I bleed mine for a long long time and it seemed fine but had same symptom. I reverse bleed it and a large bubble cme out (from slave I assume) then it worked like a champ. Might not be the same issue....

just looked on the inside of the clutch cover and it is warn down. The basket cover must be rubbing on the inside of the clutch cover! Maybe I have to many plates installed? The last plate is to the tip of the basket. Can someone show me a pic of what the basket should like when all installed? Blessings! It still makes the noise even without the cover on it. The red plastic adjustment piece on the clutch lever is fully turned in. I really think I have to many plates?

That's not good. Are you sure the pressure plate is torqued to spec?

I'd have thought you'd have a really hard time getting the pressure plate on if you had too many plates.
