As the project actually gets underway, you guys please do fire away questions and comments in this thread. I'm assuming you guys will have plenty of questions, suggestions, comments etc. Don't want folk to feel like they have to join the Diesel Bike Board just to speak up.

Look forward to the upcoming conversations.

Very interested to follow this one. Good luck with it. Should cost just a wee bit less than that Dutch diesel ADV bike I hope? :D

Upload photos to smugmug, photobucket, or similar photo hosting site. For each photo you want to include in a message, click on this [IMG] icon at the top of your new message and include the URL of the photo in the box that pops up.

I am suprised to hear in these day's and times that a board limits some how upload capability.

Course maybe this smug mug thing is better? Have allways been highly suspect of outside of a board pic posting though. Makes since though cause all of them that existed ten years ago are gone and have left a wake of worthless archived info all across the net.

There is alot of valuabale info in here. Hope not to much of it is in off site pics. They will be lost; it's a given.

ok it's official. Got word from the Mod's. I got to host pics someplace else and link to here.

Will do that when I get a chance. Main info will have to stay on a board where it will be properly archived. Really suks to look thru archives for great info and find all the pics dead.

Annywho.... till I get an account somewhere here are links to the pics

Shiny Rat Cat: 96 needing TLC Triumph Tiger

Ugly Rat Cat: 97 ugly tired Tiger

A little Frakenstein surgery with THIS and whala.... what a beast it will be.

PS- let me know if you need membership to view those pics. If so I'll move getting a pic hosting account up the priority list. Hate having to join boards just to view pics on one thread. Im sure you guys feel the same way so let me know.

I looked at the Briggs site and it said lightweight design but gave no weight. Do you know what the unit weighs?

:baldy just ran into a major snag

Gotta move the whole build operation to TX from CA and create a new build team you might say.

puts a delay on the whole thing. Bikes are in CA

    Will delay part selling too.

Where are you headed to in TX? I am in the center of the Panhandle and have started a 3cyl. Kubota transplanted into a Honda GL. Going to try to make a long travel expedition bike out of it.

Having another nutcase around would prove beneficial to projects and detrimental to bank accounts.

Yeah we're about 6 hrs. apart. Oh well, I have decided the Steamers are about the coolest damn bikes ever made. I have started looking for one but I doubt I will find one anywhere near here. Good luck to you! When I get mine up and running I will post some pics.

Agreed. Here's a shot of the engine he's using. A turbo triple diesel- sweet! I wonder how much tweaking you can do with boost, injector settings, etc? :evil
