Dork send off party!!! 8/27/05

Dork is going to be continuing Vance's journey of "The USA on $40 a day" and we want to send him off in style.

This is how it all got started.

The day is going to be Saturday 8/27/05, the day after his last day at work. He is planning on leaving town 8/30/05 so this would give him a couple days to recover.

My brother volunteered his place in Woodland, WA. There is 5 acres with plenty of parking, lots of room to pitch tents and an area to do some dualsport testing. :eek1 It is 2 miles from my house where I have room for people to crash also. One bed that would sleep 2 or 3 and floor/garage space for about 15.

Requests for a specific food / Beer can be relayed through me.

Any ideas are welcome for activities / drinking games or other hooligan activities.

There will be a ride the Morning of that will probably involve a few gravel roads and maybe a trail or two.

Damn. I'd love to be there for this, (and personally deliver the vest) but my last day of work here is the 26th, and I seriously doubt I could make it up there by Sat even if I drove all night Friday night + Sat. It is a long way from Reno the the PNW... + I leave for Europe on Monday the 29th so I think I had better not.

I think the Woodland place might be super. People can trickle in as they may. People are probably coming from out of town so they could camp or flop there abouts if they wanted. If more people think this is good, maybe put up a map and what all to the place. I’ll cook a mess of thighs the day before and bring that, some beer, paper plates.. if folk want to do a pot-luck type thing. Just a thought.

That sounds like fun and it's enough notice so I'll likely be able to make it down there.

I have plenty of nice flat grassy area's to pitch tents or throw a sleeping bag, and could cram 10-20 bikes in the shop for safe parking, and only about 3 miles off I-5. If this is What everyone wants to do Myself or Jmetteer can PM maps and directions. It is up to the ADVrider's

If any of Dorks stuff is stored in my shop by then it will be up for grabs to any ADVriders.

Actually, I'm supposed to go somewhere with my boyfriend. But, maybe I could ditch him and come hang out with you.
