That photo was taken 2 years after I had purchased my first ever motorcycle, which Suzuki kindly financed for me, the every faithful DR 200. I also have had a 2003 SV, candy blue, which I was not prepared for. My "road" bike is the Honda Hawk 1981 model, CB400T. The Hawk has been quite awesome enduring some of the torture I have tested on it. 2011 ~ The poor lil DR has over 16 k on it now, (as I was incorrect previously) been to 4 different states on & off-road. Not much, I know, but I do what I can The Hawk has been to PA & to the Noog hometown, back last October. The first set of photos will be from the 'Early Years' of the DR's adventures. It might take me awhile to post as I'm horrible about doing things at all, it's a wonder I even have a job
This is one of the most awesomest photos ever of capturing the DR after a day of chaos! Yes, before I had gear, before I changed the rear fender to the DRZ 400. That was also the day of the gigantic dent on the rightside of the tank :/
Those are just the preview pics. I need to collect the ones from the PA trip and commentary on those as well. I hope I don't get banned or in trouble. I'm just catching peeps on the past.
These are from the last Fuzzy Beaver Rally around August or so last year. These next ones are heading to Cattaloochee (?) in the Smoky Mtns
I agree on the above photo: Whomever took the shot did an EXCELLENT job!! Looks like some GREAT back roads in that region.
Your off to a good start. Keep posting. The Smokies are a great place to ride. I could spend all summer on my steed.
Thanks guys, I'll try to locate some trips that I've been on. I'm not having much luck, but I do hope to have some more adventures this summer to keep posting on
So technically this guy I found while working at a job site but a praying mantis is still cool nuff to put in a thread This is me being narcissistic This is the view from the gazebo on top of Benton Mtn, at least I think it was Benton Mtn In reverse you can get the feel of the romantic atmosphere of the gazebo ;p
A lovely view of my pantleg :/ On the downside of Benton Mtn The beastly DR yarg!!! The next few photos are of Trail 81 & 82
Single Track! Woot Woot! I was going incredibly slow, but it was awsome! I saw a turkey & an owl Taking a break at the top of Buckbald, this is the ride Laura & FancyIndigo went on with a bunch I wimped out, I was too chicken to go on it :/ but I'm glad I went this time Oh yea, another foot photo A daisy waiting at the end of 82 just for me This was the coolest find I found in Murphy, I like jeeps & I like flowers Today's ride mostly involved more dirt & gravel & more dirt This is on top of Davis Creek Rd which is still yet to close Mt Laurel in bloom on the trail how awesome! Makeshift Bridge on Davis Creek Because of the makeshift bridge.............. OOOoooooo!! A Cave! But I don't think it goes very far back in there.
Another Self Portrait. I'm making it up to myself when in high school I failed in art and had no ability to express myself Look ! A DR in the wild! I caught one! Caught in amongst the purple butterflies, I didn't spy any poop in any shape or form. Towards the end of the ride, or so I thought. I wound up in Tellico somewhere and then continued on into Hiwassee, then Ocoee into Cleveland, then homeward!
