It looks like Ducati is adding another bike to their lineup http://scramblerducati.com /hope this isn't 205
Yup, they sent out emails this morning.. it will be revealed in sections like they did with the multistrada when it was first announced.. Hopefully, some good spy shots will come out soon.
That video (advertisement) looks like they could be promoting just about anything. They seem to be promoting more of a lifestyle than a motorcycle. Which is probably perfect because this is really unlikely to be anything that anyone would really take off road. More of a hipster vehicle -- they should sell it as a package with converse all stars, a flannel shirt and a gold flake helmet. all that being said, I might just pick one up for an around town ride. I could cruise the bars at night and pretend I'm young and cool.
This ^ that's almost as bad as yamaha's ad for the bolt. But....it's a duc so half of this forum will love it anyways and half will hate it anyways.
i think it is a very good thing for them to get a more entry level bike in the lineup.. also I think it could be really fun
(Just to be clears, not directed to BP's comments just above, just grumbling.)...Eh, what makes it a hipster bike, anyway? That it's aimed towards people with no grey in their beards (asked by a guy with plenty of grey)? Smaller displacement, (probably) air-cooled, light weight, likely some decent storage accessories available, time-proven rock solid engine. Yeah, doesn't sound like anything anyone here would want. Obviously it sucks because they're marketing it using SoCal imagery! And I want one!
I agree! I want one so it will look good in the garage beside my Monster! Finally have something to do some trail riding with.
It's been a rumor for quite some time. It's hip to be hipster. As much as I love my hip Bolt, this bike done right could make me regret it. It would be hard, but possible is all I'm sayin'.
That's my guess. They'll go retro. Maybe they'll bring back sport classics along with them. They want stupid prices from them lately. It wasn't long ago when you can buy a new one for a little more than a Thruxton.
