Here's the stuff from our Mods Vs. Rockers rally a few weekends ago: Our local Ton-up logo the rally poster: and the most excellent t-shirts (I got the Fink one)
PS - it was the Ton-Up gang (and MvR stuff) that really got me interested in the Stella. Was gonna buy an Enfield, but this was more in my price range. That might be next, though.
I thought about stopping by Raleigh for that event on my way north to PA. My wife's parents live just over the border in VA. But due to time constrains, we didnt make it. Got one of these as a project bike, it's on the list
I've also got pictures of that bike--same day--being unloaded from a trailer. Seized on a nice road just out of town. It was the line we remember best from the day: "It's off the trailer...now what?" Jeebus, those guys have a "never say die" mentality. It was refreshing to see guys who didn't shy away from attacking their bikes with a hammer to keep 'em running.
All mine has done is ride around in a trailer or get pushed from one side of the garage to the other Hopefully the Raleigh Rumble will be an annual event, I'd like to make it next year
I was very, very impressed with the folks--I felt like I found some new friends. Very genuine people and they really really really love their bikes. We usually have a few of them show up every sunday at the local rider hangout (Michael's).
