Well I've done all the searches here and haven't found any thing about Two-Up Adventuring, I know it's been done and I'm trying to find about more on this topic.
Caryn and I always have been riding together (never missed a ride), and done it all rallies, pub, club overnighters, and have owned Twenty + bikes from Gl1000s to B-King's.
Just recently Adventure riding has got me hook line, and sinker and It's time to keep riding where the road turns to dirt where we would always turn around.(+ the Blue shirts Are nicer)
So I'm trying to get the green light to get an Adventure bike. (+ nothing has come up yet)

You see so far Caryn aka the missus "Laughing tells me" this site is all about blokey blokes going on bloke w/ends just so they can crash their bikes "alot" in front of their blokey mates "mostly in the mud", and so far that's all she's seen

So the call has gone out to show us all your adventures Two-Up so we can see just what were in for !!!

This would make the missus more comfortable about going adventure riding with some good Two-Up stories

BTW Caryn has her open license but prefers to pillion up she says is more fun and less hassle, less worry for me and 1 less Bike to maintain. So I always buy bikes or set them up so they can go to up easy b-king included.

I just did a great 2 up trip with my buddy.

    <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/s2ec2ZETtc3VcFHb2vOO1r3C_B90SumAJUiMUHRAjBs?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_lEnMawTyQPQ/TJeWjl0ReVI/AAAAAAAAAB0/WjZ1l3UpXMo/s400/P1010030.JPG" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/104653496965706252100/IndiaKashmirTrip?authkey=Gv1sRgCO76mrSF4birYQ&feat=embedwebsite">India/Kashmir Trip</a></td></tr></table>

When we finished that ride I ended up hooking up with the "Missus" and toured northern India/Kashmir with another couple 2 up.

    <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/mrmyBPp5TuktVfZ9I7eUcL3C_B90SumAJUiMUHRAjBs?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_lEnMawTyQPQ/TJeW8u5xsWI/AAAAAAAAADY/15e_-nvbVLw/s400/P1010194.JPG" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/104653496965706252100/IndiaKashmirTrip?authkey=Gv1sRgCO76mrSF4birYQ&feat=embedwebsite">India/Kashmir Trip</a></td></tr></table>

This is the kind of stuff that happens on rides with the "Missus"

    <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/WpIsIgsSg_kwGGFxd3ZPC73C_B90SumAJUiMUHRAjBs?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_lEnMawTyQPQ/TJeW1hnd2AI/AAAAAAAAAC4/s9bl323OPHg/s400/P1010183.JPG" /></a>

We pull over to do some routine maintenance on the Royal Enfield and the Missus gets her eye brows Tweezed.

    Embarrassing...

Perhaps you should keep on looking as we are a rare breed but we are indeed out there doing our thing.

My better half and I have been riding RTW for the last 2 years two up on all sorts of tracks, roads, dirt, gravel, sand, mud. Admittedly I lost her confidence on sand, which is very hard 2-up with luggage with a 1200GS weighing in at over 360kgs! :huh

Just check our website, which has plenty of info on setting up the bike for 2-up riding along with pictures and travel journals. :deal

Did 2900 miles 2 up this summer. Took about 60-80 of that off on fire roads etc.....all over 10 days with some hiking and whitewater rafting thrown into the mix!! Still working on the ride report, but it was a great time!!

    Shadow rider is with us!!

Yesterday's trip from Susanville to Gold Lakes and back home to Susanville.
We try to take day trips every Wednesday.
Pretty good for being under 40 and having 2 kids under 13. We are lucky!!

--Started on this Road to Antelope Lake. Plumas County, CA
    [IMG]

Then on to this, a long dirt road from Genesse to Beckwourth (CA Hwy70)

    Rode through some of this

So we could have lunch here!!!

This whole trip was on a KTM 950 that we picked up from Berkley three days ago. It did well on the street, dirt, and through the rocks!

    Hi Mono,
    Yes Adventure bikes are great.
Love my B-King & R1 but I mostly use my V-Strom since it is much more practical, cheaper and also comfier for the pillion.
Last week we went from Brisbane to Mackay and back (2000 km`s) and no complaints what so ever from my pillion, she follows almost always as a pillion on long trips, to work and other places so I guess she is used to it now.
I would love to have the new XTZ1200 but do not want to get rid of one or 2 bikes as yet and still happy with my DL650.
Maybe you get all clear from Caryn one day to get your adv bike.

A ride to Prudhoe Bay/Deadhorse AK when one of the two bikes broke to the point of not being able to move necessitated some ad-hoc adventure touring -scumbucket style.

BMW'er summer pants. Great stuff. No center/side seams; ventilated, armoured in the knees and hip sides, can be unzippred from the tight area to act as a hiking/town walking pair of shorts....cool; but as you know...costs a bit of Beemerdollar!!:freaky
