    Hey!
I just heard rumours today, about an upcoming upgrade to the current BMW Rallye 3 Suit...the BMW Rallye 4 Suit, coming in march...anybody has any information at all about this? I am considering buying the 3 or the Touratech Companero Suit...but with the 4 around the corner, it might be worth some wait...anybody? :-b

Good! Hopefully that will bring down the prices on the Rallye 3.

    This.

That's my only gripe about the R3; the pants I have are too big around the waist in order to get enough leg length.

The only difference is the R4 will not be made of whale foreskin. With the new water boxer coming out, they thought it wouldn't be a good idea. I prefer the whale foreskin for it's durability so I'll stick with my R3.

Thanks for replies! I have seen photos of the Rally 4 now...different colours, one grey and red, and another in blue, that I really liked! Also, there will be a "lite"-version of the Rally, cheaper but without a separate goretex-layer, goretex will be integrated into the jacket. Prices seemed similar, but I'm sure prices on Rally 3 will drop. :-)

But the blue one was really nice!!! And there were some minor designchanges as well...I think they will show up real soon, so keep an eye open!

Saw some pics of the new colors and from what the dealer told me, blue on blue is replacing the black suit. I believe he said it was still the rallye 3. The other color was similar to the lighter suit, I think without the red bits though.

They have pics of them at the dealership in SF. I think the black looks great, and was a little surprised to hear they are discontinuing it.

I like the black suit, but purchased the grey jacket because it was $100 cheaper than the black one. Not sure the logic behind it, but that would certainly keep people from buying them.

Perhaps it's just where I live but the prices on the "outdated" BMW gear aren't that much better than when it was new.

I think the new R4 it's going to be more expensive with the gortex fabric for the jacket. My guess is they will approach the Klim and the Rukka tags :cry. Also the R2P keep the value way to high for an undated suit so I don't really think the new R4 it's going to in the same price range.

FWIW, The prices at my local BMW dealer have dropped dramatically on the Rallye 3.
    Im in Ottawa Canada...

They were about 900$ here for the jacket and its now about 549 or 579$ - I cant remember.
Pants are under 500$... In either the Black or the Grey/Blue

I read that they were introducing a new 'entry level' GS suit which was cheaper with a different design and color scheme etc but I thought the 'new' suit was just new colors on the existing R3 model (red/black/grey)
