Mississippi to Panama and Back

I said that I was not going to do a Ride Report for this trip and I'm not, but since there were some pictures taken, i will post them. There was no effort to document the entire trip with pictures, some days pictures were taken, some days they weren't. I will try to remember where the different pictures were taken.

This trip started off with a bit of an adventure. It was very cold and wet on the route Mrs Garmin took me! Me and the moto fell not once but twice! :eek1 The second time was at about 50 MPH in a curve. The moto went out from under me so fast, I went from riding to sliding in an instant. The road was so slick that as I slide on my back, I literally sat up and watched the moto slide in front of me. There was virtually no damage to my moto clothes, including the seat of the pants that I was sliding on sitting up!

This was the first time I have ever been down on the BMW. I guess it wanted to be like the KLR.

Then the moto quit. Spent over a day with two idiots working on the moto, they damaged way more stuff than they fixed, but in some miracles way, they actually got it to run.

If you notice the broken windscreen in the picture above. That is from the moto falling over on a truck at a tienda! I can not believe that the tape held it together for over 90 days and 10,000 miles. And I did a lot of 75 to 80 MPH riding! The GPS says the max was 89! :eek1
