We now have Tag-O-Rama in Delaware. A small state bordering Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland so border jumpers are welcome. I am using the rules from the Pennsylvania game because Skyclad added the no whining rule. I am not very computer savvy so I will need help with Delaware "Tag-O-Rama Google Map"

Thanks to OLENUF2NOBETTER we now have the "official Delaware T-O-R google map" and yes it's official... it will hold up in court. Delaware Tag-O-Rama Google Map http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=111836483477793307410.00046622b271df52f3680
    Rules are easy...

#1 - Find the tag and reproduce the photo (as best as possible). The first person to post a found tag gets to place the next tag. If you get a tag, but somebody else posts their picture first, you lose.

#2 - Take the tag to a new location, get the photo and post it here. Give a few hints so the next person can figure out where the tag is located. Try to place the tags in interesting locations, maybe a bit of history that can be found down some nice twisties.

#3 - Tag must be a) findable and b) not placed on a dirt road. Maintained gravel is OK, but make sure to let folks know that gravel is required to get to your tag. We don't want to exclude those who don't like to get dirty.

#4 - File photos are NOT permitted. You gotta ride to play this game.

#5 - The motorcycle in the picture must get to the tag location under its own power (The vfr870 rule).

#6 - No whining. If you have a valid suggestion to improve the game, we can listen to that. If you just wanna bitch and moan because you got Bruce'd, do it elsewhere.

Now that the rules are taken care of, here is the first tag.

Alright lets give this a SHOT. This is where the E. I. DuPont company first started.

Now the Delaware Tag-O-Rama game is off with a BANG!

We will accept a picture at the front gate if it's closed.

That's ok, we have a lot of big mileage guys down here and you'll likely see some of 'em up that way should a tag sit for too long...:lol3

I have a funny feeling border jumpers will be moving this game more than Delawareians (is that a word?) Maybe we should keep this in the Southeast and Northeast section.

    To Sloburban we owe thanks
For now Delaware riders can form a quorum
    Even though our own Tag-O-Rama
Was accidently posted in the wrong subforum

On my way home from the Brandywine Y
Twas in the morning so I could not tarry
But I took a short commuting detour
To pick up the tag at Hagley Museum and Library

It was here in stone blast houses
That saltpeter was ground into fine powder
From time to time there would be a spark
That turned man and mule into Brandywine chowder

North along the river the tag I took
To where the road seems to end on a Google map
Shortcutting locals know it still exists
But a border dispute with Penndot lets it turn to crap

How about we make it Delmarva Tag-O-Rama -- then it would mostly belong here!

Thats a creative idea and would open up some additional great views, beaches and marsh areas. But what does the rest of the First State think?:ear

I think having a Delmarva-Tag-O-Rama is a great idea also but lets keep the Delaware Tag-O-Rama in Delaware. It's the first state with alot of history and deserves it's own game... Hey, the Vice President lives/ lived here.

    Anybody can start a Tag-O-Rama game even a moron:D

BLAH- Virginia is the 1st state with a bunch of history. Think Jamestown, Henricus etc. Oh one question. We have a vice-president?

I'm looking fwd to the DE game. Hope to grab one as it warms up!

    This tag still remains ungotten
Just over a covered bridge with a common name
    Other regions continue their quests
While putting the First State to shame

Dude -- Delaware was the first state to ratify the United States Constitution - the same Constitution we still use today, even in Virginia. Hence the "First State" nickname. And we've got more than our share of historical stuff, given our small size alongside history-laden neighbors like Pennsylvania and Virginia.

I think I might be on to this tag location ... overnight low 11 degrees ... hmm ...

Better go beat me to it, Jeff. My bike had been in the shop for a valve adjustment, but I'll probably be riding to work tomorrow, so if I can sneak off early....

holy crap, i just realized where the tag was.

unfortunately the only thing i can think of to tag in DE isn't there right now. it would have to wait until november when the x-mas lights go up.
