My Streetpilot is failing - screen is clouding over, and unit freezes. Looks like new GPS time - probably Zumo 660. I do not need the sat radio feature of 665, as I like to use Pandora right from my iPhone. I enjoy the personality of the Streetpilot - it can be set to look for smaller roads, not just to avoid highways. Does the Zumo have the same feature, allowing configuration of your relative choice for major, medium and minor roads? Thanks in advance for the answer.

No. zumo's do not offer those preferences for routing - you can only set Avoidances to avoid "Unpaved Roads" or roads that have "Seasonal Closure". The routing algorithms your Streetpilot uses are no longer used by Garmin.

You might read through some of the thread on the Montana and it's use of Activity Base Profiles in conjunction with the latest version (3.2.2.) of BaseCamp.
