and here's Sven Nijs having the worst race of his career. 40,000 Belgiums came to see him win and he crashed 3 times and finished 11th. Of the over 50 cross races he'll do this year he'll only NOT WIN about 10.

Gotta do that at night next time...:deal

:D Done that too. More than once...
I found practicing on an incline helps for some reason. Think it's easer to first focus on the forward pressure.

I'm getting jealous. Haven't touched my fixie (or the other two bikes for that matter) in a long time. I'd bike to work but the locker/shower rooms are being rebuilt right now and they didn't give us alternate facilities :bluduh

Since you're a Pro now, why not send some of these to cyclingnews.com or one of the other online guys?

I'm sure they'd LOVE to have another set of pics since cross is about to explode in popularity!

As usual, great shots Plan B :thumb

So is Cylocross gonna be in the Olympics anytime soon ?

(or is it already and I missed it?)

I did all the diary photos for the USA cross camp on cyclingnews and the National Team coach posted a link to my galleries at an article he wrote for Velonews on-line. I had about 500,000 hits on my smugmug last month!

I also did quite a few pics for the Canadians..

Don't get me started...it should be a winter olympic sport but it's not and it's not scheduled as a demo sport either.

Not having Oly status really affects funding and status at the National Federation level.

If we added hula hoops, and some shitty music and judged the event for form then it would be 'golden' for sure....

Or maybe added an X-games element like baggy pants and illiterate competetors that communicate with gang signs...

Ya mean like dopey white suburban kids who show off right before they're about to win Gold in a snowboard event and fall on their ass 15' from the finish line, showboating....?

:lol3

Dammit I haven't ridden in a week, and it's 25 degrees, wind chill of minus 10 now.

Should I bundle up and ride anyway?

I will if you will!

I've been out running lately 'cause there's been 8" or so of snow on the ground. Its been melting in spurts so the ground's soupy. Flag pours TONS of cinders on the streets at the first whiff of snow, so there's berms of the stuff on all the major roads. :bluduh I guess I COULD load up the truck and head to Sedona, but I have an issue with driving to go riding. :dunno Seems wrong somehow.

You're conditions are right about my coldest ride ever. I had a cold that day and NEEDED to go do something to clear my head. I had rivers of green, gooey snot pouring from my nose that day. Got home and could breathe for about an hour, then got clogged back up again. :baldy Bundle up, go slow, ride into the wind first so you have a tailwind home and you'll be OK.

I fell asleep on the couch, too tired from last night (parents suprise 40th aniv party). Now I've got the SBowl as an excuse.

Day's like this I wish I has closer MTN bike trails, just feels wrmer in the woods, less wind which is the thing that kills me (when it's cold).

Funny, we haven't had more than a dusting yet this yr.
