I did a very quick ride last night on my Klein, for the first time I was actually keeping up with most of the roadie racers on the path. It just felt right, had a good cadence going, wasn't feeling like I was out of steam at all, really just pushed it the whole 15 miles.

Only thing I'm noticing is the Klein is such a small frame that I have the seatpost hoisted to the max height, and still wish to be taller in the bike. The frame is almost BMX in it's layout. ANd he wheels feel tiny. I guess that's why Cyclocross bikes are so great.

Sometimes I just stare at it while it sits next to my TV. I heard a guy in a bike shop the other day - he said, "you gotta really love the way the bike looks, paint and all, so it'll motivate you to ride it"

Don't those shocks slow you down on the street?
I nix mine last year and got much more efficiency on the commute.
Though I gotta watch out for the real crummy roads here in the city of angels.

I went for my usual 10 mile ride to exercise and run a couple errands. I saw three news vans :huh and decided to call a friend and have them make a recording. I was hoping to learn what was going on and maybe I would get on TV. :lol3

Here is what they were reporting. This is one of the roads I ride on less than half a mile from my home. :uhoh Hopefully they will catch and punish the SOB severely.

update on the vintage bianchi 10 speed... talked with my brother today, he's definately selling dad's old Bianchi. this is a 1967 Bianchi TEAM frame, in near perfect condition, almost all original except some early 70s Super Record parts upgrades. all campi, columbus tubing, still has clement sewups (undoubtably not the originals). the Brooks Professional saddle is like new (it has had brooks saddle dressing applied every few years, and was hardly ever ridden. frame is a 19" (small), coral pink (fairly rare, most Teams were pea green). as its a Team, it does NOT have chromed fork or stay tips, however the fork crowns are chrome (and there's undoubtably chrome under the paint). he was advertising it for awhile on craigslist for $3000, at this point, he'd be happy to get $2000, its too small for him, and he only rides offroad.

he doesn't have any pictures of it, I'll try and get up there with my camera. its a real beaut.
