Well, Saturday was about 27 miles of the river trail. Then Today, I rode out to Corona to meet Paul, and we rode to Tom's Farm, and back to his place, then I rode home. 50 miles with some climbing and headwind.

I feel good.

Not too bad for a graduation party weekend. In between I managed to fix the kitchen faucet, but one sink is now clogged...:lol3

Time for the hot tub and maybe some a small glass of the Japanese single malt my youngest gave me.

30 miles with the San Fernando Valley Bicycle Club today.

Was advertised as an easy ride. HA HA, fooled me. Fooled everyone in fact. There was an 18% grade at one point

Buy it! Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I picked up a LHT back in September of last year. I just started riding again 2 weeks ago, after my accident in December, and I've already logged 250 miles on this bike. I can't say enough good things about this bike. I commute home from work 15 miles Mon-Fri and I'm usually not wanting to stop. It's a great bike.

Here's a pic of mine near some graffiti in Silverlake.

That is cool.

I'm hoping to get to where I can commute by bicycle again after 15 years??:huh

Gotta get ahead of the curve on this project so I don't have to carry the 'puter home, (think mainframe:eek1, only notebook sized...)

We need a close up of that bike, full frontal, you know XXX bike pron.:clap

Sweet ride ErrinV. Cool picture too. I might be moving into your neck of the woods in July. I'm going to wait on buying another bike till I can figure out if I can commute (bike) to school. Only problem I really see is I'll have to bike thru Compton. :lol3

The Day I brought her home last year.

http://errinv.smugmug.com/photos/376664226_gw9uA-L.jpg

I bought her to do double duty. Rainy day bike commutes and a tour with a friend. My accident sidelined the tour, but she's been kickin' ass as a commuter. I rode 15 miles home on Friday, and then did a social ride with the local fixed gear riders Friday night. 36 miles at night with those riders made for a nice workout. This bike is heavy and not fast. It's alot of work keeping up with the fixed gears, but I didn't get dropped. Setup in commutin' form she weighs in at 45lbs. Now a little more since I added the front rack. It's fine though, my legs are benefitting from the extra power needed to move her along.

I just added the iSport to her and use that to train on my commute home. Makes for better use of the time.

You can take the Blue Line through Compton.

Nice I didn't even think about that. I'll be (if I can) biking to El Camino college. Right now all I have bike wise is a Redline Monocog 29er, maybe I could switch to a lower cog, I believe its currently 32x20, in the back and add some slicks and it would work. Save me a ton of money.

Feh. You don't need on of those. :nah All you need is to get an old hub, a new axle, and re-axle that hub.

Easy.

I can't tell you how many American Classic hubs I've done that way.

You'll prolly be into this one for less than $20 by the time yer done. :nod

I get better mileage and can still haul a lot of shit around-first time I've tried stuffing an MC in there. Easy peasy:D
