Well, it was bound to happen...

I am headed into the PNWet for an unspecified length of time after the first of the year. I am seriously considering pulling the trigger on an FS bike bought down here from my LBS and delivered up north. That way I'll have some entertainment available other than work, working out and sleeping.

Been thinking about this one:

The red is more like a Ducati red than skittles red...

Gotta go to the mattresses with the accounting department...:lol3 OK, maybe just some hard lobbying? Need to get this flu gone so I can go ride again.

I'm gravitationally well-endowed! :nod

But slap some Schwalbe Fatty 29x2.35's on that big girl, and she and me float like a butterfly.

We'll see....

Placed the order this morning. As I did with every internet purchase, I searched for any coupons and found one for 10% off to use against the best price I could find which was from a dealer in Texas. That'll pay for a few extra small items that I'll need - pedals, shoes, a lock, water bottle/cages, etc.

Welll, happy New Year (solstice last night, as far as I'm concerned this is New Year's Day).

The only thing I'd suggest you consider changing right off that bat is those pointy assed brake hoods.

Thanks!

As long as I don't have to deal w/ snow, I'm a happy camper. :lol2

BTW, I've lived in Norcross twice. Used to think nothing of riding from there up to Brasstown Bald for a longish day ride.

I was a lot younger back then. :bluduh

I guess I'm done for the year.

Was hoping to get at least one more ride in, but it sure doesn't look like that will happen. Although I did see a guy ride by today, 28 and snowing, I didn't know if he should get a :thumb or :loco. Ended up doing just over 1500 miles this year. Not bad considering I started out the year thinking 12 miles was a long ride. :arg I told a couple of friends I've ridden with this past year I would sign up and ride the pelotonia with them next year, and I want to keep that promise, but I don't think I'm ready to sign up just yet.

Now I'll spend my time looking for a sram compact crank and putting it on my bike before spring.

Neither is Marty Nothstein or any of the big sprinter types. :nono Dood I know in CA is built like a linebacker, but rides the wheels off his bike at the track!

Me? I'm built like a sprinter, but think like an endurance athlete. I'm all screwed up!

I was a sprinter (track, not bike), now I just look after my tendons and muscles :lol3 Bicycling is sooooo much easier on me in that way :nod
