No way I can afford it, but it seems like a revolutionary design. The headtube and top tube are very oversized oval CF, with an aluminum rear frame.

oooooooo, I saw one of those in the LBS. Sex on wheels. They had it priced less than some complete s-works and Look bikes, but the Six was a prettier ride.

Yeah, I just did some research, looks like 3400 and up for the cheapest Systm 6.

It really did have an ultra smooth, stable ride, and I was on some crappy city tarmac. But It'll have to wait, at least until winter. I'd get the cheapo and swap wheels and brakes from Basso (they're better than the stock on that bike).

I'm psyched to ride again tonight. Did a tune up after last night's ride, fixed front deral problem. Fuck these things are maintenance hungry.

As nice as that was, how many 'nice' bikes have you ridden? You might be surprised by the ride of some of the bikes half the price of that Cannondale. I haven't ridden many, but the phrase "diminishing returns" is what comes to mind when you start spending that much money on a bike.

If I was going to drop that kind of cash (and oh would it be fun to), I'd be looking at a custom bike or -drool- a moots or similar.

Is that your touring bike? I tour on a C'dale T2000 w/front & rear panniers.
I just ordered a Bike Friday to try on tours that should be here Oct. 15th.

They ride as well as they look. I have a Moots Compact for my road bike. Wish I had the Moots touring bike as well.

It is, but right now it gets more use a training, stay in shape bike. It is my main ride.

I looked into a Bike Friday, but the extra cost was not worth it to me at the time vs what I got with the Surly set up. I still like the idea of being able to fly with a BF and not pay extra for a bike box.

Looks sweet. I have ridden a few good bikes lately. My Dad's new S Works Tarmac, and another Specialized - Alleze (06) that a friend just brought.

The Basso has some nice Ti welds too, but it does more flexing than I like. I don't think I'd go w another Ti bike, at least not as a 2nd steed.

Either way I'm dreaming - no $$$$$$:cry
