Rules are easy...
  1. Find the tag and reproduce the photo (as best as possible). Take the tag to a new location, get the photo and post it here. Give a few hints so the next person can figure out where the tag is located.Make the clues clear and easiiy understood.
    • Try to place the tags in interesting locations, maybe a bit of history that can be found down some nice twisties.
  2. Tag must be: a) findable & b) not placed on a dirt road.
    • Maintained gravel is OK, but make sure to let folks know that gravel is required to get to your tag. We don't want to exclude those who don't like to get dirty.
  3. The first person to post a found tag gets to place the next tag. If you get a tag, but somebody else posts their picture first, you lose.
  4. One tag at a time within thread. File photos are NOT permitted. You gotta ride to play this game.
  5. Tags from other states are fair game as long as you re-tag within the same state, post on that states thread. You can cross post here to motivate the masses if you want. (Be civil ppl)
  6. No whining :nono There are plenty of folks here that will help you understand the rules:lol3
  7. The holder of the tag determines if the tag has been duplicated and acknowledges it by posting on the thread. (Surrendering the Tag)
  8. No Pre-Arranged Tag Handoffs / Linear Tag sequence
  9. The motorcycle in the picture must get to the tag location under its own power (The vfr870 rule).
Remember, you gotta be quick. Don't make the clues difficult, because it will come back and bite you in the arse. Also, bring your "A" game cause someone will have a tag and post another while you're thinking about eating breakfast.:rofl

Remember, Tag-o-Rama is naught but a game.

Cool game that it is, ToR is NOT worth getting injured or killed over.
I fully expect that the game will slow down during the winter months.

If you grab a tag, I still would like to see it placed within a few days of the grab, weather permitting.

I certainly am not going to tell folks how or when to ride or not ride, nor will I pass judgement what kind of road conditions are safe to ride in. We are all adults here, and can make those decisions for ourselves. If you are comfortable riding on ice, then have a good ride. If you hide your bike from the morning frost, that is cool too.

Biggest thing I want to get across is that I would hate to see somebody go down while trying to grab a tag. Keep it safe and let's all be around to play when spring gets here.

Finally,

If you wanna play, you gotta ride.:deal

<hr>Original Tag (Post #2)<hr>
Resizing image..... (Jeez this takes a long time with a slow connection, slow computer, and 8MP image...)

In the mean time:

Located in the city that sits along the river this brew is named for, the only twisties around here are Kings Highway. If it's located directly next to the river itself, there only thing between this place and the water is a back alley. [And yes - the neighborhood's not the best, but I was there at night, and didn't hear any gunshots or muggings....]

On yer mark, get set - GO!

This may be a dumb question, but what is the "tag" ??

... or is it like "tag, you're it"? and we just have to take the picture in the same spot?

stolen last night

in a disgusting twist of irony, the bike was stolen last night from the garage.

They took the XT 225 and my helmet and gloves. The helmet is a CL-Max with custom black reflective tape I did myself - it says "back off" on the back and "FYYFF" on the front with distorted spots on the rest of it. The gloves are blue Joe Rocket long guantlets, if I remember correctly.
The XT is a 225, 2007 model with 524 miles on it last night.
Plate: (Spaced out so they can't get the info that I'm looking for it here via google) 6 8 G J 8 0 NY tag Only inspected 'til the end of this month.
VIN: J Y A 4 B E E 0 4 7 A 0 9 0 2 7 1
Blue with white highlights, only has one hand guard on the left side (right side isn't attached yet). There's a distinctive ding on the left side of the tank by the cowling, a small scratch.

I think I may know where that is...the almost 800 mile round trip is a bit much to do before work though!:huh I tried to grab NJ's last night at 2am, but lost my route in the gps, and forgot a map...:baldy . I did get one more state park in NJ though...Researching these "tags" is fun....

Trust 09-02-2008 10:32 AM

Crap; if I take my car to get it, does that count? :evil :rofl

What if I throw my bicycle in the back and take a pic of the "bike"? .... of course that has a flat tire right now..... 1 tire'd bicycle suffice? :oscar

AnthonyD 09-02-2008 12:48 PM

Dang Augie, I was just there yesterday! Gotta get back down there on the bike... haha.

Why wait? If this tag is still in place next time I have a day off, it will be moved. I have no problem being a border jumper.:evil
