My sentiments, too, but I doubt I'd have used the smile faces. There's too many folks in this forum feel that if you don't ride their bike, wear their gear, or use their toilet paper, you're just doing it all fucking wrong and should be drawn and quartered for your actions.

Oh definitely. But that just means that their problem is continuing to use an obsolote form of engine. Or that their customers insist on using an obsolote form of engine. And then they blame the guvmint for lack of performance. Nope, stop using an air-cooled engine.

I see in the press that HD has taken patents on a partially water cooled design, with water cooling only in the head. That way the barrels still look (and are) air cooled. HD knows what is needed, it is the customers who'd rather blame the government.

It's a choice. Go for a certain look & style -OR- get maximum performance. It's a consumer choice, not the government's fault. There are plenty of high performance bikes meeting the same emissions regs. Just not typically air cooled.

You can't be serious - between that and the other total-helmet cover, I've never seen anything more hideous. How in the hell would make anyone think "yeah, that's what I want to ride around in!" It's caricature on a scale that is just strange.

I have a trailer made out of light duty 44 gallon drum ... reminds me of the Footrot Flats cartoons so always puts a smile on my face. Tows well too :clap It is also tough and practical and I reckon looks better than those plastic fantastic things. Why make an issue out of what floats other people's boats :dunno

I got no problem with that part - he's probably one of the very few pirates who actually look that far ahead when riding. Far too many still think the way to ride is to keep the front-fender in view. I had a friend like that who used to beg me to let him ride my ZX-7R... I knew that wasn't gonna turn out well for him or my bike, so I declined. At least my friend admitted that was his riding style (not knowing it was wrong)... most motorcyclists won't admit it even after it causes an accident.

What is up with the half helmet and mask thing? Maybe I have been living under a rock. But I didn't notice them around here until this summer. Now they are the latest cruiser fashion accessory in these parts and everybody is rocking that look.

Or maybe I just live to close too the HD and Victory dealers. I kinda get the helmet skin thing. I have known offroad riders that used them to keep mud off a nice lid. Which looked just as silly on them but served a purpose. But this half helmet with a weird mask under it look is, well, weird.
