I'm guessing you're busy passing someone.

If you're not, then WTF are you doing?

Here in the states a white line separates traffic moving in the same direction, so that would be legal here regardless which lane, Yellow lines separate traffic traveling in opposite directions. nothing Illegal about that picture (If it was the states)

Given your footer:
January 2010 New Zealand South Island ride
Summer 2009 UK to Alps ride
Summer 2008 UK End-to-End ride
The photo doesn't look like Louisiana, it's a safe bet that you were in a left-hand traffic country.

Pic info

A right click show that pic was taken in 08 during your UK-end to end ride.:rofl

87% of me is shaking my fist at the Corvette. 13% of me is certain that the bike had been going 30mph for miles without pulling off to the side.

If you can't avoid hitting that crack, you are riding out of control. There's plenty of room there. Just my opinion, of course. I haven't been there.

..............shu

OK, so I'm a little late to this rodeo, but what the hell.

There ain't a dual sport made that can't handle that crack, wtih anything remotely approaching competent operation.

Yeah, dual sport. Remember the dog-damned name of the forum?

If this crack caused anyone problems, that person should sell their bike now, and stick to driving SUVs into telephone poles the moment inclement weather strikes.

Funny, I was in the area and rode through some of the dragon this summer. I was stuck behind some super slow Goldwings, and Harleys and I ended up making a u-turn and not even finishing the ride. I was getting frustrated and when I get frustrated I do stupid things. Like passing like that vette (assuming the sight line made it dangerous), and then ripping. Better to retreat than hurt myself so I bailed and played on some other roads in the area.
I was at Indy this weekend and saw someone wearing this shirt and I thought of all of the destination roads that I have ever ridden.

Not really, lean angle of the bike, vs suspension loading of the vette, tells me the clown lost the rest of his pirate parade, and was plodding along holding up someone that wanted to enjoy the road.

P.S. sorry i missed your sarcastic emocon :D

Just pull over and count slowly to 30 then proceed on an empty road at your preferred pace. Repeat as necessary.

I've done that a time or three out in Red Rock canyon. Some people want to drive 35 to 40 MPH on that road when the speed limit's 50. I don't want to pass 'em for a few reasons, so I just pull over and gain some space :nod
