I guess if he would've had linked brakes and ABS that wouldn't have happened.

What makes you think he is using the front brake, I don't see any brake light?

Any of you MGP experts remember a race where a rider on a red bike ran his brake lever into the back of the rider in front of him, did a major endo crash red flagging the start.

That was one of the most amazing crashes I ever saw. The bike starts doing an endo in the middle of the pack heading into the first turn. Took out four or five riders if I remember correctly.

I thought the bright red lights were on with braking - Now I see from the other photo that they are just running lights - You are correct - No braking at all!

[Note: stupid f***ing idea to have red turn signals on the back]

When will the authorities stop this carnage by mandating ABS on ALL race bikes?

If it only saves one life...

And his head isn't below the handlebars...

And in another epic fail, he is riding on a TRACK and probably going warp factor 9 besides!

Why? You have triple the visibility from the rear when compared to the stock setup. Three running/brake lights vs. one...

Nothing wrong with the running-light idea. I just happen to think it's retarded to put red turn signals on a bike when amber has been the standard for decades (yes I do know red turn signals are legal)

If I recall red turn signal (lens) is not allowed in some States but not sure. Anyone?

Fair enough. I like amber indicators better, as they make it easier to discern whether you're turning or pumping the brakes. But I couldn't fault somebody for making one decision over the other.

Seems to me some folks here seem to have forgotten the days when you couldn't hang off as much because you had to keep some weight on the front tire.

frontiercat 12-14-2011 11:48 AM

More pics....

Dragging his foot seems odd to me...how fast do you figure he is going with his foot down?
