Yeah, I hear you.

No personal military experience- I have stories from Spouse-Shaped-Person (USN, ret) and Child-Shaped-Person (USA, active, deployed) and other friends.

I write software for law enforcement, and I teach advanced classes for motor officers, so I spend quite a lot of time working with cops. Up to about the Sgt level, things seem pretty good around here. Above that is where management is like playing craps with someone else's loaded dice.

Sure- but mostly, bad management in the civilian sector usually only leads to unemployment, not casualties.

Looks like she used the suction cups they come with instead of taking them off and gluing it on like most folks who use them do.

I guess she wasn't committed to the squidy lifestyle.

"That's a neat theory, except what happens for VIP escorts is the Secret Service tells the cops how fast the procession will be moving. The implication is that escort riders moving from back of group to the front have to ride at roughly twice the speed of the group to get in front of it and block the next intersection. This is typically when the accidents occur."

And when the Secret Service gets its own fleet of motors, maybe they would be more qualified to decide what a safe and prudent convoy speed should be. Rank is a poor substitute for judgement.

And if you think I don't know shit about riding in traffic, you should talk to my brother and our best buddy from childhood; they were both motor officers in the L.A. area where we grew up and they both thought that I had better technical riding skills than they did. They both quit street riding years ago, I have not. :gerg

For the most part, once you get above Sgt in LE, you are more of a politician than cop. Just like the Army, Generals are more politician than soldier.

Video should be titled "Fools and Tools". Just an incredible display of sucky riding by total idiots.
