You may be right, and given that they've got camera men all over, chances are reasonably good. Still, I didn't hear them mention that (correct me if I'm wrong), and from my experience, it's on par with the general hubris of people who own and drive supercars like those. It'd be nice if they could set an example of "stay in your own damn lane!" :freaky

I will say also, taking a Lotus and Alfa on Latigo canyon road and the likes, part of the fun and challenge is keeping it within the lines. It makes the corners tighter, finding a good line harder and the whole experience more exhilerating. My .02

Probably because they aren't in America and don't have to fill the show with dumbass disclaimers to avoid being sued by some dumbshit claiming they did something because they saw it on TV.

Here there was a commercial where they were driving on the moon and the damn thing had a disclaimer saying not to try it.:eek1

I was cooking along on 211, the VA "Dragon" a few years ago. I mean I was really haulin ass! Admiring myself and my super skills, I was suddenly humbled as a 17 passenger MaxiVan full of Boy Scouts passed me with a wave on the outside. :shog

Many of us think we are fast and know it all, few do!:deal

First, it kinda kills me that I am so not observant enough to spot this on my own. And once that it is pointed out to me, I do smile. But it is the kind of thing that makes me pause and wonder about it. It takes me a long time to process info like this pic. And I an going to make 2 WAGs. 1. He donned the lid as seen for the humor of it knowing that he would become mildly famous for the cost of the fun. 2. He wears it like that because he actually doesn't know any better. If that is the case, I am amazed that none of his budds would not interfere? Perhaps he has a hand issue and needs the buckle to be on that side and doesn't care which way the lid sits as long as he has the protection that he wants?
Maybe he will buy a face shield of some sort some day for this lid and be mildly amused for a long time?
If this was the dumbest thing that I have done in my life, I could live with that.

Consider it nuked.
And then there were two.

bwalsh 01-29-2012 04:48 PM

Well if everyone nuked repeat pics/vids in the thread it would be about half as many pages as it is now... Most every pic has been posted three times too...except for the one that started it all...
