I got my endorsement in Montana while living there for a few months. I was shocked when I found out it was for life and no insurance required. Although, it certainly was not $20. Its been 10 months now since I moved to AZ and I have yet to switch over. I'm uh, going to school, yeah that's it.

I was in the military. It was super cheap for us. Otherwise it would have been something like 400.

By this logic, I'm assuming you'd be in favor of raising the road taxes to the amount needed to actually pay for the roads? Currently roads in the U.S. are heavily subsidized, and gas taxes and licensing don't get anywhere close to paying for their upkeep.

On a similar note, I'd love to see us to switch our vehicle licensing to a system based on the fuel efficiency and the road wear caused by a vehicle, rather than by its sticker price. Motorcycles would practically be free. :evil
