Down here, it's 42 bucks a year, every year, no matter how old your bike is.

I got my endorsement in Montana while living there for a few months. I was shocked when I found out it was for life and no insurance required. Although, it certainly was not $20. Its been 10 months now since I moved to AZ and I have yet to switch over. I'm uh, going to school, yeah that's it.

I was in the military. It was super cheap for us. Otherwise it would have been something like 400.

Pay road taxes then :deal

Same as children.... No pay road tax? Then you don't get to use or play in the road.

Aside from the shitty helmets, NGNOTT, and riding a cruiser with purple rims & spokes, what's he doing wrong? :D

Are you sure that's a he?

By this logic, I'm assuming you'd be in favor of raising the road taxes to the amount needed to actually pay for the roads? Currently roads in the U.S. are heavily subsidized, and gas taxes and licensing don't get anywhere close to paying for their upkeep.

On a similar note, I'd love to see us to switch our vehicle licensing to a system based on the fuel efficiency and the road wear caused by a vehicle, rather than by its sticker price. Motorcycles would practically be free. :evil

Ya' beat me to it.

Hope he didn't pass too many cruisers. But then George might have more hp in his legs than certain V-twin engines.:rofl

Do ya think maybe they do pay road taxes by way of the cars and motorcycles they own?

Some of those bikes probably cost as much or more than $12,000. Wheels alone can be $3k or more.

Not like they are riding because they can't afford a car and aren't paying taxes.

Could be.
Some people choose a rolex, others a timex.

Just a decent carbon fiber framed road bike costs around $2,200.00.
