He is dragging hard parts and not hanging off, so its likely someone elses gear....
Maybe a garb swap, not a bike swap?

That's exactly what my friends and I do. We take our bikes to a cool spot, and we're like,"Dude, let's swap clothes with each other. That would be awesome!" Then we high-five and put glitter on each other.

:nono The thought being: if enough of em crash, they won't come back.

Least that seemed to be the sentiment from the top of Palomar.

FWI've heard, the squids have migrated over to one of the Grades. Still crashing, just not on Palomar (as much)

I got that. I also know that if you or anybody else were cause "enough of em to crash" you'll most likely face intense scrutiny from your local LEO's. At the very least, if not prosecution, civil liability and so on. Maybe it's different there but that's how it'd go around here... and rightfully so. :deal

I'd hope the TN Dept of Revenue would be interested in this pic, even if the Department of Public Safety is not (both from the standpoint of spilling oil in the roadway, plus operating an unsafe vehicle).

The oil I noted in corners through Deal's Gap was in both right and left-handed corners, in the middle of the lane, did not appear to be as "light" as diesel, and at a guess, the amount, if released from a running engine, would have led to me encountering the smoking wreck parked by the roadside. The above, plus the occasional whiff of cooking oil made me quite certain that it was a deliberate act.

My guess is that the locals have a long cultural tradition of flouting the law and getting away with it - explaining both the red diesel and deliberate pouring of oil in the road

On Palomar, the CHP and SO started swarming the place, writing lots of tickets and impounding bikes without tags, insurance, or operating without an MC license. I think the Marines also are getting on their personnel about it because they are losing more people in accidents than in combat.

When word gets out about a $1,000 ticket and a $$$ impound, the rolling circus crowd moves on to other roads.
