Anyone else see the same thing?

He's wearing Draggin Jeans, appropriate for the locale, I have a few pair and would like to know how they held up. I haven't "drop" tested mine and have not worn them for a while out of preference for mesh, armored riding pants.

I don't think that is gravel, I think that the road being chewed up by the foot peg and what ever else is grinding.

I think his duck foot touched down, startled him and he yanked on the bars to hard.

See the gravel on the edge of the roadway in this photo.
He may have got too close to the edge... bingo.

I see the edge of a road, not loose gravel thrown up on it. That corner looks really clean compared to others in the area.

I can see some holes in the denim near the right knee as he rides away on his recently converted street fighter, but that doesn't tell us how the Kevlar held up. Still, I am a bit surprised that the denim held up so well.

By the way, the tires look pretty worn to me. Some tires lose a lot of traction when they're worn.

Not Draggin Jeans-- DJ's don't have that flexible black ribbon on them. Could be Icon... some other brands have those, too.

If I put on my Accident Reconstructionist hat...I believe you are all correct. Mr Asshat is entering the corner at low speed, but leans the bike way over for the camera's benefit (aka "look at me! I can ride!). This gives the appearance of the rear tire walking out. When he has neither the skills nor speed/gravity to recover the bike from his exaggerated lean he panics and grabs front brake. Down he goes. There is minimal seperation between rider and bike (no ejection, no highside) further suggesting a case of "look at me I can ride". Once he hits the ground he doesn't slide any significant distance (again, Look At Me Killboy, see how far I'm leaning? I must be going reeeaallly fast).

My expert legal opinion: this man is an asshat.
