Shot from the sidecar
Evening all
Decided to start a new thread rather then hijack the existing Sidecar photo's. Feel free to add. A bit of background, most of these photo's were shot by my wife Sally, who was the co-rider of our outfits for almost 25 years, but prefered to occupy the chair seat, especially in her later years as she fought the insidious disease of breast cancer. Sally passed away 3rd May 2007, but her spirit and photo's live on.:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap http://tucktruck.smugmug.com/photos/...2_9XvyA-XL.jpg The next photo's were shot by Sally as we crossed the Nullabor Plains. Grahame Johns http://tucktruck.smugmug.com/photos/...6_Qbxgw-XL.jpg Claude on his legdenary ,cicra 1951, Matchless. He goes anywhere, any time, any road. He has only 1 touring speed, and that is 50mph (as you can guess, he is somewhat old fashion:D) but there are few riders who can stay with him, let alone pass him on narrow twisty dirt roads:clap http://tucktruck.smugmug.com/photos/...6_tb6To-XL.jpg Beet and Trish http://tucktruck.smugmug.com/photos/...0_LqHY7-XL.jpg Derrick Sutton on his 600 Kawka. Which by the way he rode in an Iron Butt a couple of years ago and finished in the top 20 http://tucktruck.smugmug.com/photos/...2_y2b5y-XL.jpg John Sargent with interchangeable wheels plus spare. Note the car airfilter attached. Calls his outfit "Monty" just to piss me off.:lol3:lol3 Named after the English general Montgomery who beat the crap out of Rommell in WW2 Bastard:lol3:lol3:lol3 http://tucktruck.smugmug.com/photos/...3_LnQNK-XL.jpg http://tucktruck.smugmug.com/photos/...4_WYWm3-XL.jpg Marc Crighton http://tucktruck.smugmug.com/photos/...5_eup5A-XL.jpg http://tucktruck.smugmug.com/photos/...6_mgGYe-XL.jpg Coming into Port Augusta from the west. That's the southern Flinders Ranges in the back ground http://tucktruck.smugmug.com/photos/...2_GeA4Y-XL.jpg http://tucktruck.smugmug.com/photos/...0_CwQ6c-XL.jpg http://tucktruck.smugmug.com/photos/...5_vVueq-XL.jpg BTW road trains rule in outback Oz http://tucktruck.smugmug.com/photos/...4_hgt7x-XL.jpg http://tucktruck.smugmug.com/photos/...7_8zUPE-XL.jpg Be aware of logging trucks http://tucktruck.smugmug.com/photos/...2_rSLnK-XL.jpg A very good reason why you don't cut corners on logging roads They take no prisioners You will only end up as an ornament on their bull bar:eek1:eek1:eek1 http://tucktruck.smugmug.com/photos/...9_zZSK7-XL.jpg |

Thanks for sharing Sally's talents!
I downloaded the pix of the Mack pulling the roadtrain doubles (I'm into Mack trucks too). Sally was indeed a talented photographer- that picture would make a great ad for Mack!

Thanks for sharing Sally's great photos (and yours, too). It's inspiring to see couples out there sharing road adventures. And it makes me determined to get my wife and dog out there in the Ural, then we'll have some pictures of our own to share. :D _______________________________ Fred from Lutz, FL aka B2k - '09 Ural Gear Up |
