Mapsource Waypoint
 

I have 50 or so .gpx files that are waypoints. Is there a way to open them all up at one time using Mapsource Topo?

not that I know - but GPX is a file in XML format, it's easy to open them up and concatenate them using say Notepad++ (free text editor)

You could just open up one Mapsource window as a "master" then open up each .gpx and copy/paste the waypoints into the master file.

Even if you could open all 50 files with one click they are still 50 seperate files that can only be viewed 1 at a time. Like outlined above, bite the bullet and copy each waypoint to one "master" file then it is done for life.

If you're using OS X (or Linux), I can write you a quick and dirty script that will combine multiple GPX files into one but for Windows, it'd mean installing add'l software.

Not within Garmin Mapsource.

However, you can use other software such as gpsbabel to combine them into one. For examples, see http://www.gpsbabel.org/htmldoc-deve...ced_Usage.html

If you are using gpsbabel with M$ Windows: In the file-open dialog, press and hold the CRTL button; then you should be able to select more the one file from the listing. Here, all selected files must be from same type (GPX).
