I saw it was a 14, so not much use to most of us over here. There's not a huge call for winter tread either :lol3.
I've failed the 'remember to record the tyre details' test a few times too. such is life.
195/50/16 Pirelli on our goldwing.
And 185 /60/15 on the GSA. and sidecar
Iemller Cross 3. 155/15 (covered) on all three wheels:
Continental TS 760 Wintercontact 145/65-15 on all four wheels: Front view:
Same tires with snowchains on three wheels. In this case the spare is a 135/70-15 Champiro GT Radial snowtire:
And an overall view of the tires I use nowadays, all on the same 15 inch car rims (got 11 of them), with in the middle the Continental Ecocontact 1 145/65-15:
145/15 Firestone with innertube, only on the rear:
165/65-14 Pirelli Snowcontrol on all three wheels (preferred them above the Michelins):
On older sidecars with car tires I used to ride the Uniroyal Rallye in 125 and 145/15?, which was one of the standard sidecar tires at that time.
Great photos Richard. I wish we could get these Iemller Cross 3. 155/15 in Australia :cry
I've tried a lot of different tires on this bike. Here are a few of them . . .
BFG Mud Terrain, 215/75-R15:
Michelin M4 Rally, 16/65-15 ZEL90 (with a small modification for sand dunes):
Greenway Aligator, 15" (rear), Michelin M4 Rally 13" (side):
Silverstone Rally, 15":
A few spares:
Hoosier mini sprint car tires, 10":
That is an amazing setup! Do you have any more pics or details on it? I like that shaft drive/CV combo, that is amazing! I bet it NEVER gets stuck!
