I have a hill behind my house that works well. I have cut down a bunch of those pesky GA pines that are in my yard and they can make good obstacles I used spikes/PVC pipe to hold them in place. It is good training for any kind of riding.

I have some, um . . ., introductory level replicas of the obstacles you will see in this video:

This video was taken over at HighFive's house. He's got this stepped wall you can see in the video, a couple spools, a couple dirt mounds, and a few large logs to play on.

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=""></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

let em rephrase
I have a - for downtown - fairly roomy backyard
with some little ravines and lot's of trees

I need ideas for some rock shapes/placements
to get the most use out of them

Some pics of our winter indoor setup.

And some videos.

Had two loads of rocks delivered, Used my Durmax to position a couple of them.
Try to find some railroad ties or old trees, they are great to practice on, Any old junk can be fun.
I know of one fellow who just made mounds of dirt, covered them with chicken wire and then cement, he made some real cool stuff to play on.

Got plenty of room in my backyard, put this lot together first

Then we go down the creek but that wasn't the question was it
