As promised,,, when I got the TrailTech conversion in the works. I've been fiddling with the BD light. Prototype is pretty much worked out, I need to get a production sample from the machine shop and work out a couple small details yet.

And you can still use the protective cover...

Hmmmm,,,, maybe there is no interest in these. :dunno

Please speak up if you're at all interested,,,, if no one is interested I won't bother laying out the cash to produce the conversion.

Still interested in the Trail Tech version.

Are you going to be able to produce a cover for the lens like BD has for their light?

I talked to a vacuum former a couple days ago and the cost was :huh . I'm not giving up, but it may take me some time to get it sorted out.

I assume your asking this to save shipping costs to EU???? This will be a kit with the adaptor and the H4 reflector.

The price for my TrailTech conversion is $105 shipped CONUS. I expect this unit to be right around the same but until I have everything sorted I can't commit to a firm price.

Hey Boatman are you selling just the H4 conversion or you including the Baja Designs light?

hahmule 01-08-2010 12:46 PM

Definately interested

I have a BD light on my 610 and was researching a HID conversion when I came upon this thread. Would the H4 conversion result in a high and low beam?

Yes. Click the link in my sig for a little more info.

H4 provides high and low and you can use any bulb from halogen to HID.

Cool! I'm in for a BD conversion. :D

Update.... I picked up a pre-production sample from the machine shop today. We had to make a couple tweaks to the program but I should have a batch in my hands and ready for the powder coater in a couple days. Then it's about 1.5 weeks before they will be ready to ship.

hahmule 01-25-2010 04:00 PM

Still in!

I don't remember, pm or email me when they become available.

Boatman 01-26-2010 05:10 AM

It's looking like mid February for the first run. I should be picking up the machined parts in the next day or so and then dropping them at the powder coater. I'll be out of town for a while and everything should be ready fro shipping when I return.

Boatman 01-29-2010 08:29 PM

Update,,, received the parts from the machine shop today and will deliver them to the powder coater Monday morning. So that puts me right on track for mid February. This conversion is coming out better than I thought it was going, very happy!!
