Who knows of Carbon Fiber Tank protectors for 640 Adv
 

I want to replace the crash bars on my 640 Adventure and would like to find some Carbon Fiber shrouds or like product. The welds on the bars keep breaking because of the known vibration of the LC4 engine. Does anyone know of any and where I can get them?

aka talk to chrisbarnes1 :D also you might want to enquire about kevlar as pure carbon fiber doesn't have much puncture resistance, which is why they use kevlar for bullet proof vests

I have been waiting to find a set since August....but then found out Rally Raid is in the process of producing some for the market. I have already sent an email and this was my response.

We are currently developing the 640 Adventure Tank Guards, we should be finished in around 3 to 4 weeks from now.

I hope he realizes there are actually 3 tanks for the 640.. an earlier 2001 30 liter then the later 28 liter (1 ktm OEM 28ltr and 1 Acerbis hardpart tank)

Let's hope they make this happen!
