Pelican Topbox Setups: Let's see 'em
 

Let's see some pictures of your Pelican Topbox setup, including mounts.

Interested in making something for my bike in the near future and want to see what everyone else is using.

I'm going with one of these for my topbox. Got it for $52 shipped with the pick-n-pluck foam included.

Can get it for about $16 less if you don't want the foam. Deepest one that would match the size of my top plate. Wanted the depth for pillion backrest.

From what I've read, they are not as strong as pelican, but probably won't take too much of an impact up there. I'm in trouble if it does! :eek1

The Twisted Throttle pelican hardware kit is a nice set up.

Stormcase iM2100 on my XChallenge. I mounted it to the rear rack. I prefer the Stormcase latches to the Pelican latches.

I really like that mounting system. Did you buy it, or did you make it? If you bought it where? If you made it, can you tell me out of what, and do you have any additional pictures.

:lol3 No. That was just on the plate that I had bought prior to this set up.

I have this to carry my camera on photo excursions. And it my laptop fits in it for commuting to client meetings.

If I venture forth with the fly rod, then I don't take it and have a Wolfman duffle and pannier bags.

Took awhile to find the pieces parts. But I made it out of stock used for routing tables etc.

It's called miter-t-track. I bought it off of amazon.

I used T-nuts inside the case to mount the bars.

The hardest part is getting everything parallel as the tolerances are pretty darn tight. It does not rattle and takes a bit of push/pull to mount. I wanted something I could quickly undo and take the whole thing in with me to a restaurant or client meeting. Works well so far.

1600 on my old VStrom. Currently fitting a 1600 to my R1100GS now.

nothing fancy hear, got this box at work. It was a test instrument case. The test set was defective so the boss let me have the case. Its small but holds stuff I need for off roading. It bolts right to the Tiger luggage rack. simple and cheap:
