Going to be heading to Moab in May 2012, I expect a few riders from our Ottawa group and some from Ride The Rock. This will be a 10 to 14 day trip. The plan is to trailer bikes from Ottawa to UT. Although it's a year away I plan on having everything worked out in the next few months so people can plan and save for a monster trip like this! It will be a trip to remember for sure. If anyone has any info they would like to share please chime in. you can also PM me or email at rider23@gmail.com

This is for the serious rider only, please don't say you will be going unless you are sure you can make it. I will be taking payments to lock in riders at about the six month before departure date to insure the cost is even for all from Ottawa.

The ride of a lifetime :evil

Been to Moab / St George / Grand Junction / Fruita 10 times or so since 1999 - all bicycling, but want to take my MC next time. If you have questions about the area, PM me. It is beautiful and like you say, "the ride of a lifetime"!

Thanks for the Offer :) I just sent for a pile of info and I'll call on you to fill in the blanks :D if you don't mind

Rider, I won't be joining you on this one: while the advantage of being a high school teacher is 9 weeks of riding in the summer, the drawback is that I can't do more than a weekend ride in May... It says so on my contract... :deal

Ok we have our photojournalist :clap

Rider23 06-03-2011 09:56 AM

I'm thinking two days to get there, five days riding, two days back. Toss in a day for some must see or must ride along the way. Travel on the weekends and ride during the week that will cut down the weekend traffic. :D

Thinking of mixing Camping with Hotel's? All open for suggestion :ear

I'll be building a trailer to haul six bikes. Five if Dan ships his Gold Wing up :rofl

Do a quick check for when "Jeep Week" is next year. You will want to avoid it at all costs... crazy busy on the roads, trails and in the town (people book a year out for this week...)
