ok, how about we start a pledge drive of backup money in case this thing falls short? understanding is, if the money IS collected, and the event recuperates at least some of it, the surplus is paid back out to the backers proportionally up to the amount pledged/paid.... like, I'll start..

I pledge $100 for the 'save gerg's a$$ slush fund'...

now, lets say we end up with $1500 in this sludge fun.d, so my $100 is a 1/15th or 6.6% share.... gerg needs this to make a payment so we cough up the pledged moola, but he ends up only $500 in the hole due to last second signups... so my contribution is refunded to the tune of 1000* 0.066 == $66.

sound good to you inmates and fools?

If Gerg goes anywheres near Vegas with this money, we sell his new R1200GS!!
