Wandering Wolsly, a 100 day trip through Europe, Russia and the Caucasus
Hello great nation of adventure motorcyclists,
As my plans for my 4 month trip are coming together I think it is about time I stop lurking and share some of it with you inmates. Starting at the end of august I am leaving Amsterdam, Holland and heading through Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Georgia, Armenia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Greece, Albania, Montenegro, Croatia, Italy, France, Belgium and back home. Something like this: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-L...576/europa.jpg The Russia/Georgia border crossing is still uncertain but we will see how that goes the coming months. As I really have no ties or places to be at certain moments other then being back home mid December the route is subjected to change. My Girlfriend will probably join me for a few weeks somewhere along Turkey Some of the prep stuff I already put on my websitehttp://www.wolsly.com as the website is part of this prep it is still a “work in progress” since I have no experience with blogging/website building whatsoever. I am hoping for some input from you guys for “must see's”, places to stay and maybe meet up some of you somewhere along the way. Be save and lets have a few :beer Cheers Wolsly |
Hi Wolsly! Nog een mede-Nederlander hiero :thumb
Awesome route! What kind of bike are you going to take on your trip? |
coinsidence?!?!?!
Yesterday as my shift ends and my colleague for the next shift and I have a coffee before I leave he tells me about his brother planning a trip to Greece and filming it all.
What about that Mr Cathalina.... I know Holland isn’t big but hey isn’t this coincidence or what?????:rofl. I own a 2002 R1150GS which will hopefully bring me all the way :clap. Great job on your website by the way. |

site down ?!?!?!
My website went down this weekend, aaaggghhh..... forgot (and did not know how) to make a backup :dog
Took the bike out this weekend, brought me al the way to Hamburg and back, great city by the way. And yes Mr. 13 lets meet up to have drink that would be great, maybe there are other cheeseheads out there that would like to join us? Cheers Wolsly |
Speaking of cheese heads...
It seems the entire country is going to ride and pillage Europe this summer. Keep us posted! |
Yahrr, ride 'n pillage!
Maybe Hemelvaart or Pinksteren? |
Pinksteren sounds fine. It'll be one day before my Alp is scheduled for its regular maintenance. It might be nice to have the bike desperately need it for a change :D

a little to busy.....
Been busy with visa applications, hyperpro springs, websites and oh yes my employer still wants me to do stuff and things.
It seems that the border-crossing from Russia to Georgia is a go.:clap Done a bit of this on the bike: http://wolsly.com/wp-content/uploads...7757195663.jpg The new fancy purple hyperpro hiding in the back. I guess "hemelvaart" is a bit out of the picture for the ADV cheesehead meet?? How about Saturday 7 or Sunday 8 of July? Wolsly |
Well done on the progress! Like the DIY-thing going on there :D
I got a tour coming up the 16th of June by the way, you're free to ride along :thumb Veluwe area. PM for details. |
