I've had my Wee airborne a few times, though not as much as you. It's a big bike but with a known landing, not unmanageable.

In my experience, I was riding an old logging road that had some small, worn berms. Eventually I ran into a gate and had to turn around. On my way back I knew that the road was perfectly smooth except for the berms, so I gave it some gas and got some air a few times. Like you, my bike was loaded with side cases. I didnt' get any cool video, though.

I find the V-Strom rides like a big dirt bike and feels very in control when standing up. It takes a pretty big jump to get a 500lb bike off the ground even a few inches. But landing is simple and smooth. My suspension does not bottom since I firmed up them suspenders!!

This campground we stayed at had this perfect BMX style jump and kids were jumping their bicycles. I raced BMX bicycles as a kid. I could not pass up hitting it a half dozen or so times!!!

I will get a DL jump here soon...:wink:
