Heat gear battery idea!!
I have all these 12v Bosch tools and wondering if someone has come up a way to use the batteries for heat gear.
I know you can by them specifically to plug into your jacket but they cost too much. Besides, that would be too easy. I could charge up a handful of 12v Bosch batteries and be set for a weekend of chilly outdoor activities. Just need a way to connect battery to jacket. Im tempted to sacrifice on of the tools if needed maybe a flashlight. Then its just a matter of the cable to jacket. What do you all think? |
You could do that. What you'd have to figure out would be how long one would last. If you know the battery rating in amp-hours and the current draw of the vest, you could calculate the endurance. The newer lithium iron batteries would be the ones to use because they are more efficient.

I'm using Lithium Polymer batteries from my RC planes... Warm and toasty in camp.. :evil
Lots of energy in these though, so use caution. :eek1 |
