Woody's 21" front fender solution for R1200GS/GSAs
finally figured something out using an OEM front fender:
looks like this: side view of rear half with relief for the brake lines: https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-1...0/SANY0691.JPG side view of what it all looks like assembled https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-B...0/SANY0693.JPG Now,,,ya'll could: 1,, send yours in and we'll modify it for you and send you a installation kit 2,,we could build a total kit for you all 3,,you could cruise by here and we'll take care of it 4,,you could look at all the pics and modify it yourself:wink: now the ball is in your court:wink: :freaky woody |
Interesting, I wish I would have had this earlier this year!

new version/protype II//lateral bi-section
so we tried Prototype I and it has proven itself for hundreds of dirt /mud miles,,,so we wanted an even simpler way of dissecting/bi-secting the front fender using the location data from the type I...
slid together perfectly,,will have the custom brackets dialed in by week end this simple mod will require no serious hand tools,,,our complete kit can make it a 30 minute swap,,no need for any other mods and /or components..stay tuned... took some pics and measurements ,,this mod raises front fender 2'' higher than oem mounting position... here's pic of OEM versus WWW Rx ,,,see lower oem position and a full 2''elevation change: willkeep you all posted.. woody https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-e...-11-50_326.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-p...-12-59_586.jpg |
:lurk Getting tossed on the ground because my front wheel caked with mud and locked up was no fun!

Truth is ,,we have to pay attention to the limitations of the equipment we ride and the conditions we plan on encountering...kinda a common sense sort of thing:wink: w |
