UK to Norway and back

I am trying to find a way to get myself and bike across to Stavanger in Norway. I did not really want to have to go through Holland Germany Denmark only to end up on the East side or having to take a ferry with cabin. Does anyone have any contacts in the sea crossing business or transportation. I would like to look at option for leaving from Scotland or any of its islands to Stavanger or Bergen.

Hey Raff I think you can go from Newcastle but not to Bergen, I can't remember the name of the place but its an overnight job on the boat. Ride all the way,Holland is an interesting place, Germany has autobahns, Sweden has pretty girls and Norway is stunning....:D

Try the rain deer steak and have fun :clap

All the best...

How,s the cam looking these days...

You can go from Hull to Rotterdam overnight, that aint too bad. I dont think they do to many ferries to Norge anymore.

Reigndeer meat is gorgeous. And make sure you do Trollstigen in Norway.

Well all the old routes/ferries are gone, as you have found out.
However, you might try some of the freight companies. I think I read previously that one or two of these freight
companies were offering limited places on their crossing from UK to Norway.

if you have to go the long way

P&O Hull to Zeebrugge overnight ferry, they do a shared room price, you dont know who you are sharing with, but thats no bother for 1 night, they have 1x 4 berth for females and 1x 4 berth for males.....its cheaper than the 2 berth cabin which is the only other choice.

you cant book it online....use this number 08716-642121......be sure to ask for a shared cabin........the last 4 times ive used it, 3 of the times i had the whole 4 berth cabin to myself, cheapest was 43 one way.....me and bike. (November 2012)

There is this: http://freight.dfdsseaways.com/DFDS_...ngham_ferries/

However, it seems they can kick you off to make room for a truck driver.
