Ktm 520 exc
Aright so Ive purchased a KTM. Its a bloody death trap even after all these years. Its got some tiny bits of work here and there. for example the wiring needs new tubing, plastics all round need to be replaced (not necessary at the moment, lost its shiny orange colour) , set of tires, radiator guards, electric starter brushes and wiring ,kick starter seals and all round seals for future replacing.
With all of these touch ups needed on bike its still a damn good ride, my arse feels like I just got outa jail. For not being on a bike for about 4 months it feels good to jump back on the horse and ride and get some bruising.
Glad I chose the KTM instead of a brand new 2009 CRF450x.
Now the fun begins and the motard transformation planning to be started soon (if I can run the bike budget past te ol wifey!hahaha:wink:)
If anybody got some 2nd hand advice on KTM's please reply with some ideas and things to look for...:norton

+ 1 for KTMtalk. Start hanging out and reading the RFS subforum, all the experience and advice that you could need.
The 450/525 RFS are basically the same bike, so also read through this thread:

When i had my 525 that was THE place to go, since I got the 690 I just haven't seemed go there.
In regards to the account, (mine is closed) try emailing the admin (was it Pat?) or have someone contact him for you and see if he can grant you access with your address. It's for safety and security is why they do it, to "thin out the internet herd"...
Or use a work address or something, but definately try to get on there, great info, good site!
