Fresh, frozen, and slightly toxic air... Via 82' CB900C
Today, I took one of my CB900c's out for a couple hr ride. It was around 35-40 deg outside and windy :eek1.
It made for a chilly ride. But with the right gear, not too bad.... Not heated gear either.
And we all know that old, carb'd bikes need to be run often and year round... That's my opinion.
You let'm sit and you may have trouble getting them running right again- even with proper storage.
So I always ride them year round if possible.
Some good roads in WV are right off I-64. Try route 34 next time you pass through.
If you hit 64 past Charleston- you will see this power plant as you drive by....
Make's for a good industrius pic....
I figured I'd start a post for all the short day rides I do at various places, tourist attractions, and places anybody can find....
I'll randomly post pic's and places for all to enjoy...
Nice combination of dark bike, white steam. Chrome exhaust pipes, grimy exhaust stacks.
best part of the whole experience was when i parked the bike- i tried to get it on the center stand... but the grade was a tad too steep. and the old girl ever so slightly tipped beyond my ability to hold her up and her whole 600lbs went rubber up. no damage done-except to my ego---first time i have actually dropped the bike...
...also, this may have been the shortest ride report ever. don't get me wrong- i like a good lengthy ride report, i just cant stand the really long intellectual blah blah stuff after a while....
so i decided to make a short one....
my goal was to make the pic look like russia or something.
this was a parade I got stuck in at Rainelle, WV
Nice comet though....
nice scenery on the way out rt60 up rt219 to Snowshoe....
Worth the days ride when you are WV again....
here is a cool little gas station to stop at when your headed to Seneca Rocks or Snowshoe...
guy there has a room/house-bed & breakfast deal where you can stay for couples or whatever for like $30. Him and his wife will make you breakfast...
I didnt see the house but the dude was cool and didn't seem likely to prefer fava beans and chianti...
.....bored on the job....
Why yes...yes, I am.
a nice 50's clown car.... the owner will let you drive it-- long as you have been to clown college :lol3
great background for a pick at Seneca Rocks, WV.....
and me after 500 miles in one day
to anybody coming through WV via I-64 from Huntington to Charleston....
Let me know and I will send you to some good roads..........
