Bells and whistles go off!!DING DING DING!!! Sure doesn't look like San Diego background to me??? Doesnt look like a Ca. Plate??? Could be a great deal. Someone moved to SD. Now the rig has a dead battery and the owners soon to be ex wife :lol3 wants it GONE???

Illinois plate. Water tower in the background says Mendota. There's a Mendota in Illinois. But also one in California. And Minnesota.

In 2008 I sold this rig to a guy from Mendota, IL. The photos are likely his, but the question is: who posted 'em?

Seems likely they may have been copied from an old Craigslist ad posted in the Mendota area.
They could also have been copied from an resale on eBay back in April, 1012 (http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=614015).

In any case, verify things before proceeding, e.g., ask seller to send a photo of something specific on the bike like the odometer close up (perhaps before and after a ride), a photo of current reg, insurance, etc.

Mendota in California is in Fresno county in the northern central valley of Calif.
