Mentos Gum Containers
I love these little bastards , the containers not the gum
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...38885-orig.jpg The other day I think of yet another use for them , 2 cr8 plugs for my sherpa fit nicely http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...49C0C-orig.jpg Ive been using them for a few years for fire Vaseline cotton ball starter containers , full sized bic lighters , coax adapters for my hand helds and other misc junk http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...Picture002.jpg Wrap them in electric and or duct tape to have some on hand . |
Is this considered "recycle" as well?
I do similar things with plastic containers and glass jars I get. Don't through them a way,,,,, |
Yeah these have been about the most useful sized container Ive came across for travel/pack size .I used to use Altoids boxes alot but these have replaced them for the most part.
|
great idea! i got to get me some of those.

Altoids :thumb Eclipse Mints :thumb
These are tin cans, last almost forever!! :thumb |
mento's are in plastic= WILL last forever. Ever been to a landfill?
|
This illustrates one of my (many) problems: I see a neat container: a pump, squeeze bottle, plastic jar and think," Jeez, this could be just what I need someday..." and I put it in a storage tub (which is now full of neat containers).
Best use so far: Squeeze mustard container with twist top is the world's best chainsaw oil bottle, at any cost. So now I've gotta buy this goddamn gum...:lol3 |
And then there's 35mm film containers....

Alas, nearly extinct due to digital.:cry (Yeah, I love my digital more than the $3000 bag of film cameras:shog) |

Also, I thought they would have better chance against many heavy blows, banging and abuse in a tool box. That is where I use them. I am not too familiar with Mentos packages but I figured they are made of plastic. As such, I think they would not last as long as tin cans would in the way I use them. At least that is what I think,,,. |

With that said, the smaller Altoids tins are my preference too. |
Those look great, better than the M&M tubes that I've been using to hold my spare valve stems and remover tool
