Going to one ????
I am at the point where my current setup is becoming, how would you say it,.....more bothersome than useful. I originally bought the Garmin 765 because it was inexpensive and would Bluetooth to the Iphone. I have done the updates on this unit, added a larger memory card and I still find roads that it loses me on. I am talking pavement not dirt. Thinking of going to the Motion X GPS and Drive on the iPhone to whittle down on clutter and simplify things. The Garmin, iPhone, and two way all come through my Autocom beautifully.
Any comments or faults in my thought process are welcome. I am a noob at this. I am used to a compass and a paper map for most of my navigation in the field so putting it on a device is still a hard thing for me to get used to.

No response or even a flame for not searching (which I did)? You guys are losing your touch.

What do you mean by that?
A GPS doesnít replace a good paper map IMO. My GPS is all about routing.
So, pick a target and let it route you. Routes are suggestions; you donít have to follow them. If you have a good GPS it should route to your target by whichever roads you chose, if possible. But it will take some experience/ learning on your part to understand what the GPS is telling you
