Amazing old Honda
 

I picked up a decent 1978 Honda 750 in the late fall. 21 thousand miles on the clock, no rust, good rubber etc. 1300.00 bucks. I was aware of a charging issue, as it had a volt meter. I've changed out stators, regulators before, no big deal.
The "amazing" part, for me, stators no longer available. Not rebuilt, not remanufactured, nada! What the hell? They made tens of thousands of these and there's no market for stators? Amazing!
Yes, their are some salvaged ones on eBay but I was sure someone was at least rewinding. No. Shit.:huh

I have used these guys in the past. I think they charged around $70 to rewind the stator on my XS. Be warned its a small shop and it may take a while to get your part back.
