iPad iMovie to PC help

Alright, so I've spent the last two hours trying to get an imovie I made on my iPad out of the damned thing into a format I can play on my PC.

It can't be that hard, can it? And before you tell me to export from iMovie onto the Camera Roll and then use Windows Import Wizard, I've done that and it won't import the iMovie files. It tries and then comes up with an error.

Help me out, you iPad wizards.

I believe the only way is in the share section.

Pick the option send to iTunes, then iTunes should give you the
ability to play directly on your PC or export it to another format.

If that does not work, try the solutions mentioned in this article:

Found it. Normally I would delete this thread and slink away in shame, but instead I'll share the results here so other dumb bastards such as myself can learn.

The Windows Import Wizard won't do files over 500MB so you have to do it directly in Explorer. First, on your iPad export the imovie file to your camera roll. Connect your iPad to your PC and open Explorer. Find your iPad, and either copy/paste or drag/drop the file. Worked fine.

As for using the iTunes option dirtypumpkin mentions, it might work for someone, but all I can get it to grab for me is the project file with the extension imoviemobile and that doesn't work on anything.
