Missing site buttons...(Viewing problems with Firefox and Chrome)

*******MOD EDIT*********
Everyone missing buttons in Firefox or Chrome, try adding an exception for ADVrider in Adblocker.
Other alternatives are to disable Adblocker or change the forum skin from ADV2.0 to another one.

Sorry for editing your post Tindjin, just wanted to make it easier for folks to find the solution.

*******MOD EDIT END*******

Not sure what is going on but buttons are missing and everything just looks "off" today with Chrome and the style advrider 2.0.

Anyone else missing buttons and other format issues? If I switch to cRash or one of the others all the normal stuff is there, change back to 2.0 and it goes away.

Now seeing it in Firefox. Same wonkyness (missing icons) in ADV 2.0 skin. Worked fine all day, but started noticing it a few minutes ago. :dunno

Bumpity, I'm experiencing it too, I switched themes for now.

Not seeing some buttons such as reply to thread on my home PC and things just look weird. Firefox. From my windows phone it's all good

The areas to click are still there, but no icon showing using Chrome. Haven't tried any other browsers.

New reply button is missing too. I sent a PM to baldy yesterday just as a heads up.

Guys, don't send PMs to Baldy about this stuff. I know his name is in the thread title, but the issues will be resolved by the mods and administrators for the site. Any issue that can't be resolved by us is sent to those who can do something, but please don't bother Baldy with this kind of issue.

Remember that ADV Rider is Baldy's gift. He's a busy guy, and this is a hobby, not his paycheck.

Issues with browsers are about the browsers, not advrider.

Some skins work better with certain browsers. If you are going to use Chrome, then use a skin that works best with Chrome.

I doubt it is chrome. It's always worked fine in the past. Just started the other day. I for one will switch back to Crash for now.

That's the one I use. And there are some wonky button issues with Chrome in Crash too.

If it's Vbulletin, and the problem is on our end, someone will get to it, but these things take time. If it's not on our end, the same advice applies.

Understand. I just went to the bottom and looked for a mod and his was the only one there. I only mentioned it because I thought it might be an indicator of other issues and the admins might want a heads up. It started a couple days ago and I'm using firefox not chrome so it's not a browser issue.

Sorry for the trouble.

No problem. And I commend and applaud you. :clap

Many here have no idea that the forum moderator is listed there.

There's a second thread with others reporting the same problem: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=857252

The good news is that they've already isolated the problem. It's Ad Blocker. Disable Ad Blocker for advrider.com and all will be well. :deal

Login box is missing, wtf?

It's not there?

Turn off your ad blocker.:D

GB 01-24-2013 04:59 AM

If Adblocker doesn't work, change forum skins.. It seems the new version of Firefox and Chrome are making some of the buttons on forum skin Advrider 2.0 disappear.. No new reply, no edit, no sign in... switch forum skins fixes it.
