ATF for Clutch Hydraulic Fluid ?

ATF for Clutch Hydraulic Fluid ?

I'm rebuilding the clutch hydraulic system on my Nighthawk 650 and would like to replace the DOT 3 brake fluid with ATF.
Are there any problems that will arise if I do this ?
The ATF is a lot easier to be messy with and there should be no high temperatures to cause any boiling.
I appreciate any comments.

Ride Safely,

If it calls for brake fluid you CANNOT use mineral oil (atf) in the system. The seals are not compatible.

Thanks. Seal compatibility is very important, so I will continue to use brake fluid.

Thanks again,
