Where to create a thread about Posting Photos Issues

Hi!
Silly question may be... :cry
Real thing is that I don't want to create a Thread at the wrong place, and I have been searching and no place sounds plenty right to me.

Brief: I've just noticed that my pics hosted @Photobucket (free account exclusively for posting @ADV) show a little less sharpness posted here than the "same" pics hosted @SmugMug (payed account for my galleries).

Where should I explain (and ask about) this? :ear

Thanks!

A quick Google search shows that Photobucket will resize all pictures larger than 250KB with a rather brutal resampling algorithm. To maintain good image quality, you should resize the JPGs on your end before uploading them to PB.

But if you already have a SmugMug account, why don't you just use it for ADV?

Hey, Flood, you have gone to the main answer, thanks for that.
PB -> not a nice policy...

SmugMug is just great, I'm very happy with it, but I have some problems with the privacy configuration. Since my account there includes most of all my family and friends photos, I need all the Galleries to be secured. At the same time, to obtain photo links from SmugMug, the Gallery must have the "External Links" item ON, and I thought this opens in some way the access to the gallery.
But... now that you push me to check deeper, I found that no matters some one has a link to a pic, if he tries to access the gallery the password restriction is still available... :evil

I think I will be using then SmugMug for posting matters, from now on.

Thanks again.
