Dynamic IP and ADVrider

I'm just about to pull the trigger on satellite internet {WildBlue} and it looks like they us Dynamic IP Addressing....

Question: Will I be able to visit ADVrider?

I seem to remember something about user name and the static IP having to match.

Sounds like a load of old bollocks to me :D Order your satelitte internet and quit worrying.

Think about it. If ADV worked the way you think above .... how would you log on over wifi from a hotel, coffee shop etc

A good portion of the net is behind a dynamic IP.

It's all about your cookies. Though there's some voodoo on the login page that makes it a little difficult to simply automate with curl.

Just sayin'.

Go with a WIFI hotspot, Clear, anything but satellite

You know they throttle you back if you get close to your monthly bandwidth allotment! As a person who builds systems that provide Bandwidth. You will not be happy with Wild blue or HughsNet. If no other choices, have you looked at Dish Networks new system? I have never talked to a single Wildblue customer that did not hate them! We also build Rural FTTH systems so I see a lot of Satellite customers.:deal
